The Silks Poker Room at Tampa Bay Downs is doing its part to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy by hosting a Red Cross charity poker tournament on Nov. 25 at 3 p.m.
The $40 buy-in includes no house fees and the prize pool is split 50-50 with the charity. All proceeds go to hurricane relief.
You’ll receive 2K chips to start, then unlimited $20 rebuys for 2K units during the first three levels any time your stack dips below 2K.
Tampa Bay Downs has also agreed to donate cash along with all monies collected from the benefit event. For any player who’d like to donate their player comps that they have earned, TBD will write a check for the collective efforts of all with the money raised from the tournament.
For every 1,000 points donated TBD will send $5. Players typically earn 100 points an hour. This will be in effect until end of business Nov. 25.
