No poker tournament series is complete without a stop in the Heart of Tournament Poker, and Red Rock Resort Casino Spa is bringing the Ante Up Poker Tour to Las Vegas just after the New Year. The Jan. 21-27 event will feature as many as three events per day, culminating with a $1,100 main event that may feature three Day 1s.

The event will spill over into the adjacent Rocks Lounge. Several satellites will lead up to the main event as well, and single-table satellites will be offered daily.

“Ever since we hosted our first Heartland Poker Tour event, we’ve been locked in to this late January time frame just before other major events take place in Las Vegas and California,” said Mike Doe, director of poker operations for Red Rock Resort Casino Spa, which has hosted two HPT events before hosting its Red Rock Poker Challenge on its own this past January.

Red Rock Casino Resort Spa is one of the crown jewels in the Station Casino family. The AAA Four-Diamond resort in the shadows of Red Rock Canyon is just 10 miles from the Las Vegas Strip and offers complimentary shuttle service to the Strip and McCarran International Airport. The resort offers several types of modern luxury hotel rooms, and will feature a poker room rate for the Ante Up Poker Tour event. The resort also features nine restaurants, including T-Bones Chophouse, a 25,000-square-foot spa, entertainment center, concierge service and “The Backyard,” a three-acre pool area that offers swim-up gaming, private cabanas and a waterfall island.

“We have been impressed with Ante Up Magazine and we feel that the Ante Up Poker Tour will bring players to our tournament that we haven’t been able to attract before,” Doe said.
