The Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind., is stepping up its poker game, hosting the inaugural Hollywood Poker Open regional event Nov. 8-18, including a chance to play in the $500K guarantee championship at the M Resort in Las Vegas on June 28-30.
The regional at Lawrenceburg will have a $10K guarantee event ($150 buy-in) Nov 7, as well as an unprecedented four-event re-entry deepstack NLHE tournament with events 1A and 1B on Nov. 8, and events 1C and 1D on Nov. 9 starting 12:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m., respectively. This $200K guarantee concludes Nov. 10.
From the $235 50-and-older (Nov. 11, 10 a.m.), the $235 ladies event (Nov. 12, 10 a.m.), a $235 pot-limit Omaha (Nov. 12, 7 p.m.), a $345 Bounty ($100, Nov. 13, 11:15 a.m.), a $235 six-max (Nov. 14, 11:15 a.m.), and each nightly cash tournament at 7:15, one seat will be added to the HPO $550 two-day main event on Nov. 15.
And you won’t have to walk far for cash games as the poker room has moved upstairs to provide a more suitable surrounding to showcase the legendary poker room action. Tournament events will be in the ballroom downstairs near the old poker-room location, and acting poker room manager Brad Hinson said there will be a lot of exciting promotions.
There will be six $200 no-limit hold’em mega satellites during the series where one in 25 entrants will win a $2,500 seat to the $500K HPO championship event, plus $1,500 for travel expenses.
