The Boys and Girls Clubs of Chicago host the seventh annual Chicago Poker Open on Nov. 9. Registration starts at 6 p.m. with cards in the air at 7. This year’s event will be at the Chicago Cultural Center in downtown Chicago. Richard Roeper, who has become an event regular, plans on attending along with sports journalist David Kaplan.

“The Chicago Poker Open presents an annual opportunity for Chicagoans to get together for a night of intense fun and great networking, all for the benefit of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago,” local poker celeb Jason Finn said. “After two years as a participant, I have contributed five years as a co-chair, with Kelly Dietrich. It’s so rewarding for us to put on a great event for a particularly important cause.”

The CPO is the longest running annual charity poker event in Chicagoland, and casino games will be offered, too. Tournament buy-in is $150, casino games buy-in is $100. For more information, go to ChicagoPokerOpen.com.
