Eltorna "BG" Gant of Casa Grande, Ariz., has moved into second place in the race for Ante Up’s 2012 Player of the Year.
Gant won the $1,070-buy-in Arizona State Poker Championships main event at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale, Ariz, earning $233,696 for winning the 1,233-player event that began Aug. 10.
Gant earned 1,409.17 points to move into second place in the Ante Up Player of the Year race. John Dolan of Biloxi, Miss., remains in the lead with 1,485 points.
