The World Poker Tour’s bestbet Jacksonville Regional main event, Sept. 7-10, boasts poker’s most unique trophy. Since 18-year-old players can play poker in Florida, the “Last Player Standing under 21” will receive a ready-to-ride (or display) custom-made 9-foot surfboard.
The board was produced by Atlantic Beach resident Mike Whisnant, one of the East Coast’s premiere shapers.
The WPT Regional has a $1,500 buy-in, a $300K guaranteel and is the centerpiece of the bestbet Jacksonville Summer Series, Aug. 24–Sept. 10. The series features 17 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $230 to $560.
