Stewart Newman moves into 4th place in Ante Up POY race

Stewart Newman of Weston, Fla., has moved into fourth place in the race for Ante Up’s 2012 Player of the Year.

Newman won the $555-buy-in Deepstack Challenge main event at Palm Beach Kennel Club in West Palm Beach, Fla., which began May 18. Newman won $65,000 in the 619-player field.

Newman, who previously finished seventh in the Isle Poker Classic, added 931.62 Ante Up POY points, giving him 1,150.26 overall, good for fourth place. Abraham Araya of Carrollton, Texas, remains in first place with 1,314 points.
