March sees the return of the Tri-State Poker Championship at Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceburg, Ind. The series runs March 15-25, and Hollywood Casino tournament director Kevin Dawn anticipates more players this year.

“Our first event, a $345 no-limit hold’em tournament with 20K in chips, will draw anywhere from 1,200-1,800 players,” he said. “It’s always a great jump-start to our event, and we work hard to keep that momentum flowing throughout the whole event.”

Buy-ins are $235-$555 and games spread will be NLHE, pot-limit Omaha, Omaha/8 and six-max. Events include seniors and ladies tournaments.

The $1,600 main event rounds out the series on March 24. Nightly super and mega satellites will make sure there will be plenty of entrants registered in the main event.

“We will run seat-guarantee tournaments the five Saturdays leading up the event that will place at least 50 players in the main event. Also, we add one main-event seat to each of the 10 nightly cash tournaments we run during the event.”
