Gulfstream Park has announced its inaugural Jockeys vs. Joes poker tournament for 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 17 in the Gulfstream poker room.
The $150 event (limited to 100 players) carries a $10K guarantee and benefits the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund (pdjf.com) and Gulfstream Park Thoroughbred After-Care Program (gpaftercare.com).
Players begin with 4,000 chips and there will be unlimited rebuys ($20 & $40) during the first three rounds and single rebuys allowed when your stack is at or below 2,000 units.
Jockeys committed to play include John Velazquez, Joe Bravo, Javier Castellano, Rajiv Maragh, Manoel Cruz and retired Hall of Fame rider Angel Cordero.
