Better late than never is the old adage. That was the case for this year’s Kentucky Derby Festival Texas Hold’em Tournament. The tournament originally scheduled during the two-week festival was rescheduled because of high river levels preventing the Cincinnati Belle from making the trip. The Belle has been the location of the tournament the past three of the event’s five years.

Delay aside, 250 players from the area boarded and set sail for some poker and a cruise down the Ohio River.

After it was all said and done, Tony Carman was the winner, taking home $6,000 and a custom bracelet. Rounding out the top four were Bill Petter, William Windchy and Jim Davis.
