Corey Burbick wins 2011’s first Ante Up Poker Tour event

Corey Burbick of Davie, Fla., has won the first Ante Up Poker Tour event of the year, the Chad Brown No-Limit Texas Hold’em Championship at Orange Park Kennel Club near Jacksonville, Fla.

The $5,000 buy-in event that concluded Feb. 2 featured 70 players, and Burbick outlasted the event’s namesake, Chad Brown, heads-up for the title.

The next schedule Tour stop is aboard the Spring Ante Up Poker Cruise, which sails March 7-12 from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The Ante Up Poker Tour is a yearlong tournament series, where the top 10 finishers in designated events earn points toward the Player of the Year title.
